A second earthquake has hit Nepal only two weeks after the first big earthquake which killed over 8,800 people and injured over 23,000 people.
The second earthquake hit Nepal on the 12th May 2015 at a magnitude of 7.3. The death toll of the second earthquake is now at 200 people and over 2,500 people have been injured.
Luckily all the residents at Khagendra New Life Home are all physically unharmed. It has meant they are all yet again camping outside. Many vulnerable and disabled Nepalese people in the surrounding area have also turned to the safety of Khagendra’s grounds to camp outside. The local people are all relying on Khagendra’s facilities which are putting extra strain on resources.
Luckily Subash (Khagendra’s Outstanding Physiotherapist) is doing all he can to maintain hygiene standards and ensure facilities are kept in working order.
