The residents at Khagendra have been busy making there own candles! This follows a workshop that was organised by First Chance Nepal in 2015 teaching all the residents the skills needed to make candles. The residents really enjoyed the workshop and were keen to continue making candles so First Chance Nepal funded for Khagendra to have their own equipment.

You are the winner of £50 in February's lottery draw. To get involved with monthly lottery print off the form, fill it in, sign both parts at the bottom and send it to the address on the form. For those already signed up – stayed tuned, it could be you next! In December 2015 First Chance Nepal well able to arrange and fund for SERC (Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre) to build specialist postural seating for some of the younger residents at Khagendra.
This seating is invaluable for these children as it offers the children the comfort and support needed to maintain a good sitting position which helps prevent deformities and maintains limb range of movements. It also makes it easier for the children to join in and be more independent with functional tasks such as feeding, drawing and learning. Congratulations to this months lottery winner!!
